She completed a Complex Family Planning fellowship at Yale-New Haven Medical Center and her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine.
Dr. Aguilar is affiliated with NYC Health + Hospitals and serves as the Medical Director for Planned Parenthood of Greater New York (PPGNY).
Before attending Columbia, Sarah worked in health policy and international maternal and child health. She has designed evaluations for federal programs and research projects in India and managed Cornell University’s Model United Nations (UN) organization. She has also led educational workshops for youth focused on public speaking and policy.
Sarah earned her bachelor’s degree in labor policy, law, and global health from Cornell University.
In her free time, Sarah loves cooking and trying new recipes, practicing yoga, playing tennis, listening to podcasts, and spending time outdoors.
Hannah earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from UC San Diego.
Outside of her research, she enjoys reading, crocheting, and spending time with her two cats, Helix and Hershey.
Her research experience spans Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, CUNY, and NYU’s Center for Anti-Racism, Social Justice, and Public Health. She holds a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from NYU School of Global Public Health, where her thesis examined the relationship between built environment features and physical activity among U.S. adults with hypertension. She has also contributed to global health initiatives in Guinea with Clinic+O and the World Food Programme (WFP).
In her free time, Fatoumata enjoys going on long walks, attending dance classes, reading, journaling, watching films, trying new recipes, and mixing music on her DJ deck.
In her spare time, she enjoys a romantic novel or any popular books in Afrofuturism. On any given weekend, you can find her exploring the city’s cafe scene or checking out touristy places with friends.
Megan started working independently and remotely in 2015, onboarding startup clients in tech, SaaS, retail, and professional services.
In 2020 she changed courses towards more sustainable projects, writing for ethical companies and non-profits across the Americas, and Asia.
She offers creative writing workshops in various locations across her travels.
Oriana has facilitated art and social-emotional learning programs for asylum seekers, students in transitional housing, and families across New York City. She currently serves as a storyteller for Planned Parenthood, contributing to community health initiatives, and previously worked as a Nutrition Educator at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. She continues her work in food activism and food justice.
She is also the founder of Sao New York, a sustainable home decor brand that gives discarded textiles new life while supporting skilled women artisans and improving their livelihoods.
In her free time, Oriana enjoys writing poetry, cooking, exploring new tea shops, spending time with friends and her cat, and going to the movies.
